There are two rectangle positions available on each story/article page - the "Headline" which appears on the right within the headlines lists and the "Content" which appears on the left in the body of the article.

There are two rectangle positions available on the homepage - top right and lower left.

(3) Mobile Site

Reach
"Reach" refers to the number of Unique Browsers viewing each of the pages, sections or sites on a weekly basis.

  • Floating Layer – 40% premium in addition to Banner/Rectangle rates.
  • Expandable Ad Units – 20% premium in addition to ratecard CPM.
  • Page Peel – 50% premium in addition to Big Banner rates.
  • Polite Banners – 10% premium in addition to ratecard CPM. Max file size is 1mb.
  • Push down banner - 50% premium in addition to big banner CPM.

Rich media on the homepage is available, subject to negotiation. Please contact your Account Manager.

Targeting and Capping

  • Geo Targeting - available on request
  • Frequency Capping - available on request
  • Time of Day Targeting - 20% load applies
  • Behavioural Targeting - 30% discount off relevant section CPM
  • Sub Channel Targeting - 10% additional fee on the standard advertising rates

Timings

  • Daily Buy - advertiser receives 100% of all impressions for given day
  • Special Offers - sold on a midday Monday to midday Monday basis

Conditions for rates

  • Effective 6 November 2009 until further notice
  • All creative is due at least 3 working days before start date
  • Rates are in New Zealand dollars and exclusive of GST
  • Rates do not include any form of exclusivity
  • Rates do not include any third party ad serving charges
  • Rates are for standard formats only. Please contact us for prices on non-standard ad formats
  • Advertisers are responsible for the creation of their own ads
  • Forecasts for the nzherald and regional sites are based off actual Nielsen Online traffic data and are estimates only
